Different Grazing Frequencies Modify the Structure, Production, and Nutritional Value of ‘Zuri’ Guineagrass in the Brazilian Cerrado

open access: yesGrass and Forage Science, Volume 81, Issue 2, April-June 2026.
ABSTRACT The increasing climate variability in tropical regions demands management goals that allow for shorter rest periods without compromising pasture persistence. The objective of this study was to evaluate the effects of four pre‐grazing light interception (LI) levels on the structural, productive, and nutritional responses of ‘Zuri’ guinea grass ...

The influence of green microstructure and sintering parameters on precipitation process during copper-nickel-zinc ferrites sintering

Microstructural changes that occur during heat treatment of copper-nickel-zinc ferrites have been studied. The process of precipitation of the two types of crystals that occur during the sintering process has been analyzed.

Electrified rhythms: How hydropower infrastructure transforms hydrosocial relations of riverine communities in the Lower Sogamoso River, Colombia

open access: yesPeople and Nature, Volume 8, Issue 3, Page 782-796, March 2026.
Abstract Hydropower dams regulate water flows for millions of downstream inhabitants worldwide, altering water availability. Under a changing climate, flow control is often framed technically and politically as being essential for reducing drought and flood risks. However, it can also disrupt ecological flows, impact livelihoods and erode environmental

Drought reduces the value of both artificial and natural wetlands for gulls breeding in the Mediterranean region

open access: yesJournal of Applied Ecology, Volume 63, Issue 3, March 2026.
The importance of artificial wetlands for waterbird conservation can be easily overestimated from count data alone. The value of extensive fish ponds as a breeding habitat depends on maintaining the availability of natural marshes as a foraging habitat. This requires reducing impacts from groundwater extraction. Given recent abandonment of aquaculture,

Diversity and Distribution of Soil Fungi in Neotropical Mexican Forests

open access: yesBiotropica, Volume 58, Issue 2, March 2026.
Soil fungal diversity across the Mexican Neotropics remains poorly characterized despite its ecological importance. Using the Global Soil Mycobiome dataset from 55 sites, we identified eight distinct fungal community groups structured primarily by vegetation type and climatic gradients.

ESTIMACIÓN DEL HIDROGRAMA DE CRECIENTES CON MODELACIÓN DETERMINÍSTICA Y PRECIPITACIÓN DERIVADA DE RADAR [PDF]

open access: yes, 2013
