ICESat‐2 Precision Orbit Determination [PDF]

open access: yesEarth and Space Science, 2021
AbstractThe ICESat‐2 Precision Orbit Determination (POD) system computes the precise position of the laser altimeter instrument in inertial space, a measurement necessary for accurate geolocation of individual photon surface returns. ICESat‐2 POD solutions are generated by the reduction of Global Positioning System (GPS) double‐difference carrier phase

Real-Time Precise Orbit Determination for LEO between Kinematic and Reduced-Dynamic with Ambiguity Resolution

open access: yesAerospace, 2022
The real-time integer-ambiguity resolution of the carrier-phase observation is one of the most effective approaches to enhance the accuracy of real-time precise point positioning (PPP), kinematic precise orbit determination (KPOD), and reduced-dynamic ...

Precise Orbit Determination for ADEOS-II [PDF]

open access: green, 2006
We performed the precise orbit determination of ADEOS-II using single frequency GPS data and reviewed the results. JAXA precise orbit determination system is called “GUTS (Global and high accUracy Trajectory determination system)”. In the 18th ISSFD, we reported that the accuracy of precise orbit determination achieved about 51cm.
