Fundamentals Models Versus Random Walk: Evidence From an Emerging Economy
ABSTRACT We analyze the predictive power of fundamentals versus random walk models for horizons from 1 to 24 months in an emerging market. Specifically, we investigate what fundamentals models outperform random walk during periods of appreciation and depreciation of the exchange rate.

Here, causal relations are examined between 2940 plasma proteins and 19 cardiovascular diseases (CVD) using a human genetics‐based method. 218 proteins are found whose blood levels influence CVD risks, with about half being new discoveries and largely confirmed in an independent cohort.

Characterizing Spatial Patterns of Base Stations in Cellular Networks [PDF]
The topology of base stations (BSs) in cellular networks, serving as a basis of networking performance analysis, is considered to be obviously distinctive with the traditional hexagonal grid or square lattice model, thus stimulating a fundamental rethinking.

Intracell Interference Characterization and Cluster Inference for D2D Communication [PDF]
The homogeneous poisson point process (PPP) is widely used to model temporal, spatial or both topologies of base stations (BSs) and mobile terminals (MTs). However, negative spatial correlation in BSs, due to strategical deployments, and positive spatial correlations in MTs, due to homophilic relations, cannot be captured by homogeneous spatial PPP ...
