Environment-Assisted Precision Measurement
We describe a method to enhance the sensitivity of precision measurements that takes advantage of a quantum sensor's environment to amplify its response to weak external perturbations. An individual qubit is used to sense the dynamics of surrounding ancillary qubits, which are in turn affected by the external field to be measured.

THE PRECISE MEASUREMENT OF HEMOLYSIN [PDF]
A method is described for the measurement of hemolysin concentration, which makes possible exact comparison of results obtained at different times and with different specimens of erythrocytes and alexin; and gives precise values with an error not greater than 2 per cent.

Second‐Harmonic Generation in Strained Silicon Metasurfaces
Dielectric metasurfaces supporting Mie resonances can allow significantly boosted and tailored nonlinear light–matter interactions at the nanoscale. However, nonlinear dielectric metasurfaces typically only have odd‐order nonlinearities, unless resorting

Maximizing precision over extended unambiguous range for TOF range imaging systems
The maximum unambiguous range for time-of-flight range imaging systems is inversely proportional to the chosen modulation frequency. However, increasing the unambiguous range by decreasing the modulation frequency will generally also degrade the range ...
