Proton Charge Radius and Precision Tests of QED

open access: yes, 2014
The "proton radius puzzle" remains unsolved since it was established in 2010. This paper summarizes the current state and gives an overview over upcoming experiments.

Advanced Urologic Cancer Consensus Conference (AUC3) 2025: Expert consensus on the management of renal cell and urinary tract cancers

open access: yesCA: A Cancer Journal for Clinicians, Volume 76, Issue 1, January/February 2026.
Abstract The therapeutic landscape for renal cell carcinoma (RCC) and urinary tract cancer (UTC) has transformed dramatically, creating complexity in treatment selection and sequencing. The 2025 Advanced Urologic Cancer Consensus Conference was convened to establish evidence‐based expert consensus recommendations for optimal management.

Equilibrium Existence in First‐Price Auctions With Private Values

open access: yesEconometrica, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 193-224, January 2026.
We provide sufficient conditions for equilibrium existence in first‐price auctions with private values that accommodate non quasi‐linear utilities and value‐distributions that contain atoms and exhibit positive or negative correlation. These conditions show that equilibrium existence often turns on properties of a single statistic of the joint ...

Efficiency of different matrix inversion methods applied to Wilson fermions

open access: yes, 1996
We compare different conjugate gradient -- like matrix inversion methods (CG, BiCGstab1 and BiCGstab2) employing for this purpose the compact lattice quantum electrodynamics (QED) with Wilson fermions.

Multidimensional Screening With Precise Seller Information

open access: yesEconometrica, Volume 94, Issue 1, Page 35-70, January 2026.
A multi‐product monopolist faces a buyer who is privately informed about his valuations for the goods. As is well known, optimal mechanisms are in general complicated, while simple mechanisms—such as pure bundling or separate sales—can be far from optimal and do not admit clear‐cut comparisons.

Sympathetic cooling of $^4$He$^+$ ions in a radiofrequency trap

open access: yes, 2004
We have generated Coulomb crystals of ultracold $^4$He$^+$ ions in a linear radiofrequency trap, by sympathetic cooling via laser--cooled $^9$Be$^+$. Stable crystals containing up to 150 localized He$^+$ ions at $\sim$20 mK were obtained.

School‐Based Interventions for Reducing Disciplinary School Exclusion. An Updated Systematic Review

open access: yesCampbell Systematic Reviews, Volume 21, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT School exclusion—commonly referred to as suspension—is a disciplinary response employed by school authorities to address student misbehaviour. Typically, it involves temporary removal from regular teaching or, in more serious cases, complete removal from the school premises.

QEDr: a finite-volume QED action with redistributed spatial zero-momentum modes

open access: yesJournal of High Energy Physics
We present a finite-volume QED action designed to improve the infinite-volume extrapolation of hadronic observables in precision lattice QCD+QED calculations.

Improved Theory of the Muonium Hyperfine Structure

open access: yes, 1994
Terms contributing to the hyperfine structure of the muonium ground state at the level of few tenths of kHz have been evaluated. The $\alpha^2 (Z\alpha)$ radiative correction has been calculated numerically to the precision of 0.02 kHz.

Effectiveness and Cost‐Effectiveness of Ecosystem‐Based Disaster Risk Reduction Interventions in Low‐ and Middle‐Income Countries: A Rapid Systematic Review

open access: yesCampbell Systematic Reviews, Volume 21, Issue 4, December 2025.
ABSTRACT Background: Climate change and widespread environmental degradation have increased the risk of natural hazards in recent decades. Hydrological, meteorological, and climatological disasters have become more frequent globally (Parry et al. 2007; Cavallo and Noy 2009; CRED 2022), affecting over 3.9 billion people since 2000 and causing losses ...
