Effect of risk and incentives on contracts: The case of farm operators in Iowa
Abstract Longitudinal data on Iowa landowner–operator contracts are used to examine how the mean, variance, and skewness of expected farmland returns affected contract terms from 2008 to 2019. To control for unobserved operator risk preferences and ability as a fixed effect, the sample includes operators with multiple contracts.

Space–time clusters for early detection of grizzly bear predation
Accurate detection and classification of predation events is important to determine predation and consumption rates by predators. However, obtaining this information for large predators is constrained by the speed at which carcasses disappear and the ...

Abstract Our study aims to assess the state of knowledge on the performance of international small and medium‐sized (SME) firms, and formulate a relevant research agenda. We review 231 contributions published between 1993 and 2019, and identify the main theoretical debates, key success factors and measures of international SME performance, and the ...

Population Variation in the Life History of a Land Fish, Alticus arnoldorum, and the Effects of Predation and Density. [PDF]
Life history variation can often reflect differences in age-specific mortality within populations, with the general expectation that reproduction should be shifted away from ages experiencing increased mortality.

Fear of predation drives stable and differentiated social relationships in guppies
Social relationships can have important consequences for fitness in animals. Whilst numerous studies have shown that individuals often join larger groups in response to perceived predation risk (i.e.

Abstract Background Cardiovascular medications are vital for the secondary prevention of coronary arterial disease (CAD). However, the effect of cardiovascular medication may depend on the optimal adherence of the patients. This meta‐analysis aims to determine the magnitude of adherence to vascular medications that influences the absolute and relative ...
