Modelling diet composition dynamics among North Sea predatory fish using a length-structured partial ecosystem model [PDF]
Multispecies fisheries management approaches must take account of the array of trophic interactions within the ecosystem. Studies of the gut contents of fish stocks in the North Sea show decadal changes in diet composition, as might be expected when the ...

Indirect effects of primary prey population dynamics on alternative prey
We develop a theory of generalist predation showing how alternative prey species are affected by changes in both mean abundance and variability (coefficient of variation) of their predator's primary prey.

International audienceWe study the effects of a disease affecting a predator on the dynamics of a predator-prey system. We couple an SIRS model applied to the predator population, to a Lotka-Volterra model.

Recent Advances in Collective Behaviors of Micro/Nanomotor Swarms
This review describes the driving forces behind collective motion, explores the self‐organization of micro/nano swarms across zero‐dimensional (0D), one‐dimensional (1D), two‐dimensional (2D), and three‐dimensional (3D) spaces, and highlights their potential in drug delivery, environmental monitoring, and smart devices.

Model Predator Dan Prey Dengan Model Susceptible - Infected – Susceptible [PDF]
A predator-prey model with infected prey is an interaction between a predator and a prey population with infected prey. This model is a result of the predator-prey model with logistic growth in the prey population which is combined with Susceptible ...

Helper and ionizable lipids play a crucial role in determining ApoE binding and subsequent liver tropism and LDLR‐mediated uptake. Ionizable lipids primarily govern the LDLR‐independent uptake pathway. This complementary interplay between lipid components ultimately governs LNP delivery performance and therapeutic efficacy in the liver.

Pattern formation of a predator-prey model with the cost of anti-predator behaviors
We propose and analyse a reaction-diffusion-advection predator-prey model in which we assume that predators move randomly but prey avoid predation by perceiving a repulsion along predator density gradient.

Continuous-time predator–prey models with parasites [PDF]
We study a deterministic continuous-time predator-prey model with parasites, where the prey population is the intermediate host for the parasites. It is assumed that the parasites can affect the behavior of the predator-prey interaction due to infection. The asymptotic dynamics of the system are investigated.

Spectroscopic ellipsometry in the Kretschmann‐Raether configuration (KRSE) is employed to characterize a DNA‐functionalized platform for viral sequence recognition. By merging SE with surface plasmon resonance, KRSE outperforms conventional SE, achieving nanomolar targeting through resonance wavelength shifts (δλ) measurements. Its enhanced interfacial
