Stable scalable control of soliton propagation in broadband nonlinear optical waveguides
We develop a method for achieving scalable transmission stabilization and switching of $N$ colliding soliton sequences in optical waveguides with broadband delayed Raman response and narrowband nonlinear gain-loss.

Using two‐photon polymerization of SU‐8 together with mold processing allowed the creation of defect‐free, flexible 3D microfluidic structures with sub‐micrometer precision in CYTOP. The fabricated CYTOP microfluidic chips enabled super‐resolution imaging of cancer cells in the microchannels, clearly visualizing previously undetectable fine structural ...

Mathematical Modeling of Infectious Disease and Prey-Predator Interaction with Optimal Control
In this paper, the impact of viral illnesses on the predator-prey relationship with an optimal control analysis is studied. An ecoepidemiological model of four compartments, namely, susceptible prey, susceptible predator, infected prey, and infected ...

Boundary Effects on Population Dynamics in Stochastic Lattice Lotka-Volterra Models
We investigate spatially inhomogeneous versions of the stochastic Lotka-Volterra model for predator-prey competition and coexistence by means of Monte Carlo simulations on a two-dimensional lattice with periodic boundary conditions.

Cellulose nanocrystals (CNCs) self‐assemble in aqueous suspension into chiral nematic liquid crystals, resulting in structurally colored films upon drying. Here, the influence of sugar additives on CNC self‐assembly in suspension and in films are studied.

Spatiotemporal complexity of a ratio-dependent predator-prey system
In this paper, we investigate the emergence of a ratio-dependent predator-prey system with Michaelis-Menten-type functional response and reaction-diffusion. We derive the conditions for Hopf, Turing and Wave bifurcation on a spatial domain.

On Predator-Prey Systems and Small-Gain Theorems
This paper deals with an almost global convergence result for Lotka-Volterra systems with predator-prey interactions. These systems can be written as (negative) feedback systems. The subsystems of the feedback loop are monotone control systems, possessing particular input-output properties.

A graphene‐based bowtie plasmonic nanotweezer is designed and optimized using particle swarm optimization and transfer matrix analysis. The structure achieves strong field confinement, delivering trapping forces up to 6 nN W−1 for 10 nm bioparticles with sixfold lower power requirements than conventional designs.

Stability Analysis of a Ratio-Dependent Predator-Prey Model Incorporating a Prey Refuge
A ratio-dependent predator-prey model incorporating a prey refuge with disease in the prey population is formulated and analyzed. The effects of time delay due to the gestation of the predator and stage structure for the predator on the dynamics of the ...

Midbrain PAG Astrocytes Modulate Mouse Defensive and Panic‐Like Behaviors
Astrocytes in the midbrain periaqueductal gray (PAG) dynamically encode threat intensity and shape defensive action selection in mice. Real‐time Ca2+ imaging reveals robust astrocytic activation during predator odor and CO2 exposure. Aberrant astrocytic Ca2+ overactivation disrupts goal‐directed escape, biases behavior toward freezing, and induces ...
