Reversible Data Hiding Based on Improved Rhombus Predictor and Prediction Error Expansion

2020 IEEE 19th International Conference on Trust, Security and Privacy in Computing and Communications (TrustCom), 2020
Rhombus predictor is an effective technique to achieve prediction error expansion based reversible data hiding. Considering the correlation of adjacent pixels, it achieves high performance prediction of the central pixel with the help of its surrounding four pixels in a rhombus cell. However, for cells with large fluctuation, such correlation is rather

Reversible Data Hiding Based on Combined Predictor and Prediction Error Expansion

2015
This paper presents a novel reversible data hiding method which uses a combined predictor. The proposed combined predictor combines five base predictors according to their global and local predicting performance. The weights to combine the base predictors are calculated with a pixel by pixel manner that they adjust to the local image patch ...

A robust reversible watermarking technique based on prediction error expansion using ECC

2017 International Conference on Advances in Computing, Communications and Informatics (ICACCI), 2017
Distortion of the cover image by noise due to errors during data transmission is a major concern in telemedicine especially with respect to reversible watermarking. The safe reconstruction of the patient information as well that of the cover image is significant.

Hybrid local prediction error-based difference expansion reversible watermarking for medical images

Computers and Electrical Engineering, 2016
A hybrid local prediction-error based difference expansion reversible watermarking algorithm for hiding data into medical images is presented. The performance of hybrid local algorithm with median, median edge, gradient adjusted and local prediction algorithms is compared. The hybrid local prediction algorithm has the highest frequency of zero prediction

Audio Reversible Watermarking Scheme in the intDCT Domain with Modified Prediction Error Expansion

Proceedings of the 5th ACM Workshop on Information Hiding and Multimedia Security, 2017
Reversible watermarking schemes (RWS) allow the restoration of the original signals after the watermarks are extracted. Most RWS for audio signals use time-domain for information hiding, although their transparency is hard to maintain for high embedding capacities.

An Improved Reversible Watermarking Based on Pixel Value Ordering and Prediction Error Expansion

2020
In this paper, a new pixel value ordering (PVO) and prediction error Expansion (PEE) based reversible watermarking method is proposed. PVO based method firstly introduced by Li et al.’s has been concerned and expanded because it can achieve high embedding capacity without losing the implication of the cover.

Optimal Distortion Estimation for Prediction Error Expansion Based Reversible Watermarking

2017
Reversible Image Watermarking is a technique to losslessly embed and retrieve information (in the form of a watermark) in a cover image. Prediction Error Expansion based schemes are currently the most efficient and widely used reversible image watermarking techniques.

Can the Expansion of Prediction Errors be Counterbalanced in Reversible Data Hiding?

2019
Recent pixel value ordering (PVO) based development of reversible data hiding (RDH) schemes highly relies on an effective prediction error expansion (PEE). A prediction error is usually expanded either by embedding a bit in it or by shifting it by a “suitable” value.

Reversible data hiding using Lagrange interpolation for prediction-error expansion embedding

Soft Computing, 2018
Inspired by reversible data hiding methods that applied the PE (predicted error) strategy will have the advantage of good performances. It means that the closer the PE approaches its climax, the higher embedding capacity and image quality will have. This paper provides four stages of two-phase reversible data hiding method to produce prediction images ...

Reversible data hiding using invariant pixel-value-ordering and prediction-error expansion

Signal Processing: Image Communication, 2014
Recently, Li et al. proposed a reversible data hiding (RDH) method based on pixel-value-ordering (PVO) and prediction-error expansion. In their method, the maximum and the minimum of a pixel block are predicted and modified to embed data, and the reversibility is guaranteed by keeping PVO of each block invariant after embedding.
