Discretisation for odd quadratic twists [PDF]
The discretisation problem for even quadratic twists is almost understood, with the main question now being how the arithmetic Delaunay heuristic interacts with the analytic random matrix theory prediction.

Combining PTEN protein assessment and transcriptomic profiling of prostate tumors, we uncovered a network enriched in senescence and extracellular matrix (ECM) programs associated with PTEN loss and conserved in a mouse model. We show that PTEN‐deficient cells trigger paracrine remodeling of the surrounding stroma and this information could help ...

Learning-aided Stochastic Network Optimization with Imperfect State Prediction
We investigate the problem of stochastic network optimization in the presence of imperfect state prediction and non-stationarity. Based on a novel distribution-accuracy curve prediction model, we develop the predictive learning-aided control (PLC ...

On the Prediction of Growth Curves [PDF]
The subject of this paper is generalized linear growth curve models. In the past, these types of growth curves have been studied by authors including J. Wishart, G.E.P. Box and C.R. Rao. Further attention was directed towards this subject ever since the publication of the seminal paper on the subject by R.F. Potthoff and S.N.

Consistent Long-Term Yield Curve Prediction [PDF]
We present an arbitrage-free non-parametric yield curve prediction model which takes the full (discretized) yield curve as state variable. We believe that absence of arbitrage is an important model feature in case of highly correlated data, as it is the case for interest rates.

Next‐generation proteomics improves lung cancer risk prediction
This is one of very few studies that used prediagnostic blood samples from participants of two large population‐based cohorts. We identified, evaluated, and validated an innovative protein marker model that outperformed an established risk prediction model and criteria employed by low‐dose computed tomography in lung cancer screening trials.

The influence of regression curve parameters of creep behaviour on measured data prediction
This study deals with the study of the influence of regression curve parameters on prediction of possibilities of measured data. In this study, the necessary introduction to polymer materials issues and their material structure which influences their ...

Impeded Growth of Magnetic Flux Bubbles in the Intermediate State Pattern of Type I Superconductors
Normal state bubble patterns in Type I superconducting Indium and Lead slabs are studied by the high resolution magneto-optical imaging technique. The size of bubbles is found to be almost independent of the long-range interaction between the normal ...

The LINC01116 long noncoding RNA is induced by hypoxia and associated with poor prognosis and high recurrence rates in two cohorts of lung adenocarcinoma patients. Here, we demonstrate that besides its expression in cancer cells, LINC01116 is markedly expressed in lymphatic endothelial cells of the tumor stroma in which it participates in hypoxia ...
