Factors that predict incomplete colonoscopy
European Journal of Gastroenterology & Hepatology, 1995Certain factors in a patient's history, such as prior abdominal surgery or complicated diverticular disease, have been reported to hinder cecal intubation during colonoscopy. Over a 16-month period, 1,047 consecutive colonoscopies were prospectively evaluated to determine whether these factors were indeed clinically relevant.Of the 90 patients (9 ...

This article comprehensively reviews the predictability of six equity factors. These factors are the market excess return, size, value, momentum, low beta and quality. I find predictability for the low beta factor and moderate predictability for the size factor. The results for other factors are mixed.

Bayes factors represent one of the most well-known and commonly adopted tools to perform model selection and hypothesis testing according to a Bayesian flavour. Nevertheless, they are often criticized due to some interpretative and computational aspects, including that of not being able to be used with improper priors, or their intrinsic lack of ...

Identification of favorable and unfavorable groups helps clinicians to individualize and tailor the treatment for each patient. In order to complete risk stratification, patient and tumor characteristics were being

Genetic predictive factors in restenosis
Pathologie Biologie, 2004Restenosis is still the main drawback of percutaneous transluminal coronary angioplasty (PTCA). It is thought to be a multifactorial process where recoil of the vessel, neointimal proliferation and thrombus formation are thought to play a role. Until now it has proven difficult to predict restenosis on clinical and procedural grounds, however, genetic ...

Predictive factors for hand eczema
Contact Dermatitis, 1990Factors related to hand eczema were studied. Their relative importance as predictors was ranked by multiple logistic regression analysis. Questionnaires were sent to 20,000 individuals aged 20–65 years, randomly selected from the population register. Those subjects (1385) considering themselves to have had hand eczema within the previous 12 months were
