A Bear of a Case: Multidisciplinary Reconstruction Following a Grizzly Bear Mauling

open access: yesClinical Case Reports, Volume 14, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Grizzly bear attacks are rare but often result in devastating craniofacial injuries requiring staged, multidisciplinary reconstruction. A 61‐year‐old male sustained extensive facial trauma, including complete lower lip avulsion and anterior mandibular loss, after a grizzly bear attack.

Frontiers in the Management of Orthopaedic Periprosthetic Joint Infection

open access: yesJournal of Orthopaedic Research, Volume 44, Issue 2, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Periprosthetic joint infection (PJI) is a devastating complication of total joint arthroplasty (TJA), one of the most frequently performed surgical procedures worldwide. Management of acute PJI commonly involves debridement, antibiotics, and implant retention (DAIR), though failure rates remain high due to antibiotic‐tolerant biofilms. Chronic

Epidemiological Comparative Study on Contact Sensitisations in Woodworkers With Occupational Dermatitis: Patch Test Data of the Information Network of Departments of Dermatology, 1999 to 2023

open access: yesContact Dermatitis, Volume 94, Issue 2, Page 125-136, February 2026.
The data demonstrates that allergic contact dermatitis is common in WW with OD. The most important allergens include resins (including epoxy resin) and plant‐derived substances (including colophonium). The high share of WW with allergic contact dermatitis and face dermatitis hampers preventive efforts.

Restoration's Longevity in Endodontically Treated Teeth: A Machine Learning Survival Analysis From Randomised Clinical Trials

open access: yesInternational Endodontic Journal, Volume 59, Issue 2, Page 251-261, February 2026.
ABSTRACT Aim This prognostic study aims to develop a machine learning (ML) survival model for estimating the longevity (success and survival rate) of restorations in endodontically treated teeth (ETT). Methodology Data were consolidated from four controlled clinical trials conducted in the Netherlands and Brazil, involving 424 patients and 618 ...

Unlocking the Therapeutic Potential of Integrin‐Linked Kinase Inhibitors in Bioengineered 3D Breast Tumor Stroma Models

open access: yesThe FASEB Journal, Volume 40, Issue 2, 31 January 2026.
3D cancer models provide a more reliable representation of drug responses compared to 2D cell culture owing to their 3D architecture and facilitation of cell‐extracellular matrix interactions. In this study, we engineered dense compartmentalized 3D tumoroids composed of breast tumor mass and a surrounding stromal compartment replicating either breast ...
