Influence of day of postpartum breeding on pregnancy rate, pregnancy loss rate, and foaling rate in Thoroughbred mares

Theriogenology, 2012
Records (years 2005-2007) were analyzed from a Thoroughbred stud farm in central Kentucky. Data from all breeding cycles of foaling mares were tabulated (3184 cycles of 2003 foaling mares bred between 7 and 163 days postpartum). A multiple logistic regression model employing Bayesian statistics was used to adjust for factors that significantly affected

Fetal heart rate in early pregnancy

Early Human Development, 1990
Heart rates were measured by transvaginal sonography twice weekly in ten first trimester fetuses in women who conceived after in-vitro fertilization (IVF) or zygote intra-fallopian transfer (ZIFT). From week 6 to week 9 of menstrual age a rapid increase of the mean heart rate was observed from 113 to 167 beats per min, followed by a slow decrease to ...

Pregnancy rates with bisected bovine embryos

Theriogenology, 1984
A method for producing identical twin calves is described in which 5.5 to 7.5 day bovine embryos were bisected using a fine microsurgical blade. The resulting demi-embryos were transferred surgically or nonsurgically to the uterine horn ipsilateral to the corpus luteum of synchronous recipients (+/- 2 days), one demi-embryo per recipient.

Cumulative pregnancy rates for in vitro fertilization

Fertility and Sterility, 1986
