Ovarian actinomycosis during first-trimester pregnancy
Advances in Contraception, 1987A case of actinomycotic ovarian abscess ruptured during early gestation and related to IUD use is reported. The patient was treated by antibiotic therapy and oophorectomy. Further evolution of the pregnancy was irrelevant.

A Second Trimester Abdominal Ectopic Pregnancy

Repeat ultrasound showed a live pregnancy (Figure 1, white arrow) outside the uterus (Figure 1, black arrow). At laparotomy, an extrauterine gestational sac was identified in the right adnexa, extending into the pelvic sidewall (Figure 2).

The synchronous use of real-time ultrasound guidance during the fetoscopic procedure has permitted successful visualization to be achieved in pregnancies of greater than 18 weeks' gestation.

Prenatal Diagnosis, 1994AbstractTwo twin pregnancies at risk for a sex‐linked disorder are described. Both pregnancies were dichorionic. Transabdominal sampling was chosen for prenatal diagnosis. Molecular genetic techniques raised suspicion with regard to the accuracy of the samples in one case. Second‐trimester amniocentesis confirmed the error.
