Prehospital Sepsis Care

Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America, 2017

Prehospital Trauma Care

Emergency Medicine Clinics of North America, 1984

Prehospital fiberoptic intubation

Resuscitation, 2008
We present a case of a patient with severe multiple trauma who was treated at the scene by a physician-staffed trauma life support team. Due to a complete tracheal transection, a "cannot ventilate, cannot intubate"-situation occurred. The patient was then intubated using a fiberoptic bronchoscope in the prehospital setting.

Prehospital trauma care

Current Opinion in Anaesthesiology, 2000
Concepts regarding uniform reporting of data after trauma and regarding treatment of brain trauma patients at the scene have recently been agreed upon in consensus processes. Endotracheal intubation and alternatives are as controversially discussed as fluid resuscitation and helicopter transport of trauma victims.

The prehospital electrocardiogram

The Journal of Emergency Medicine, 2001
Although widely used in Europe, the prehospital 12-lead electrocardiogram (EKG) has seen only limited use in this country. Reported benefits of the 12-lead EKG include shortening the door-to-needle time, accelerating the initiation of reperfusion therapy, and overall improving the prehospital and hospital management and outcome of patients with acute ...
