Association of Cerebral Oxygenation During Prehospital Anaesthesia and Functional Outcome: A Prospective, Observational Multi‐Centre Cohort Study of 1014 Patients

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 1, January 2026.
ABSTRACT Background Many patients undergoing prehospital anaesthesia may be at risk of inadequate cerebral oxygenation due to underlying conditions or adverse events like hypotension or hypoxia. Eligibility for Extracorporeal Cardio‐Pulmonary Resuscitation in Out‐of‐Hospital Cardiac Arrests in Sweden

open access: yesActa Anaesthesiologica Scandinavica, Volume 70, Issue 1, January 2026.

Serious outcomes among emergency department patients with presyncope: A systematic review

open access: yesAcademic Emergency Medicine, Volume 33, Issue 1, January 2026.
Abstract Background Syncope is transient loss of consciousness, and in presyncope, patients experience same prodromal symptoms without losing consciousness. The influence of alcohol on prehospital diagnostics and therapy of injured patients

open access: yesAlcohol, Clinical and Experimental Research, Volume 50, Issue 1, January 2026.
This matched‐pair study of 6468 trauma patients analyzed the impact of alcohol intoxication on initial prehospital assessment and treatment. Alcohol‐intoxicated patients were less accurately assessed—especially regarding head and facial injuries—which led to both over‐ and underdiagnosis.
