An Adaptive Preload Device for High-Speed Motorized Spindles for Teaching and Scientific Research
This study focuses on an experimental device for the adaptive adjustment of the preload of high-speed motorized spindles. Firstly, based on Hirano’s criterion, the optimal preload for bearings at different rotational speeds was determined, and an ...

Does low-energy sweetener consumption affect energy intake and body weight? A systematic review, including meta-analyses, of the evidence from human and animal studies [PDF]
By reducing energy density, low-energy sweeteners (LES) might be expected to reduce energy intake (EI) and body weight (BW). To assess the totality of the evidence testing the null hypothesis that LES exposure (versus sugars or unsweetened alternatives ...

PASSIVE TORQUE SIMULATION OF SMALL ANGULAR CONTACT BEARING AT HIGH SPEED [PDF]
Description of common ball bearing torque models was presented and adopted to the complex thermo-mechanical model of the high speed spindle. Ball bearing passive torque was measured on the own high-speed spindle design.

It is shown that laser ablation pretreatment under oxygen‐free conditions enables copper–aluminium bonding at significantly lower deformation degrees and improved properties compared to mechanical brushing. Laser ablation further increases interface contact area and induces favourable residual stress states and microstructural compatibility ...

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...
