We agree with Stein and Shannon1 who concluded in the May 1975 issue that continuous analog recording of respiration and heart rate in the premature infant has investigational value beyond that of conventional apnea monitoring. It is most unfortunate that commercial interests have plunged prematurely into the area.

Adrenarche is the puberty of the adrenal gland. The descriptive term "pubarche" indicates the appearance of pubic hair, which may be accompanied by axillary hair.
