Global and Detailed Calculation of Tube Wall Temperature in a Process Furnace Steam Superheater
This study presents a comparison between an iterative global model and multiple approaches to a new non‐iterative model with the purpose of predicting tube wall temperature of a superheater. The results show that the non‐iterative method achieves sufficient accuracy while improving the prediction of local temperature distribution and better ...

Thermal Degradation of PFAS in Different Scales: Measurement of Hydrogen Fluoride (HF)
The communication article is about the challenges to balance a combustor in the case of fluorine when incinerating PFAS containing materials. Several analytical methods are compared: for continuous measurement, FTIR with TDLS. The detected fluorine species are further compared with results upon IC and pyrohydrolysis for discontinuous measurements in ...

Spray‐flame synthesis enables highly flexible and scalable production of multinary and high‐entropy oxide nanoparticles due to high synthesis temperatures with subsequent quenching. Temperature‐dependent in situ diffraction of as‐synthesized materials clearly reveals entropy stabilization in rock salt lattices, while spinels—featuring tetrahedral and ...

CFD analysis of a diesel–CH4–H2 tri‐fuel engine shows that increasing hydrogen energy share (HES) enhances mixing and accelerates combustion, improving pressure, efficiency, and reducing CO and soot. At 60% HES, ISFC improves 26.2%, soot drops 95%, while NOx increases due to higher temperatures. ABSTRACT The global commitment to achieve net‐zero carbon

Coherent Stokes Raman Scattering for Simultaneous Measurement of CO2 and CH4 Temperatures
A three‐beam hybrid fs/ps CSRS method is employed to excite the rovibrational transitions in the Fermi‐dyad of CO2$$ {}_2 $$ and the v2$$ {v}_2 $$ mode of CH4$$ {}_4 $$. Time‐domain spectroscopic models are developed to extract the fuel and flame temperature profiles from experimental CH4$$ {}_4 $$ and CO2$$ {}_2 $$ spectra in a diffusion flame ...
