ABSTRACT Hydrogen is a promising carbon‐free fuel but faces challenges due to combustion instability and nitrogen oxide (NOx${\rm NO}_x$) emissions during combustion. This study investigates the potential of blending hydrocarbons (methane, propane) or ammonia with hydrogen‐air flames in order to minimize these challenges.

Thermal Release Characteristics of Aeroengine Combustor Outlet Modulated by Gliding Arc Plasma
Gliding arc plasma‐assisted combustion significantly improves aeroengine combustor. Gliding arc plasma moves flames closer to the fuel source, enabling complete burning. This increases the combustion efficiency by 10.3% and raises outlet temperature by 141.6°C.

Inhibition Characteristics of Methane/Air Explosions by Collaborative Inhibition Devices
ABSTRACT With the advancement of the modernization and intensification of urban pipelines, the utility tunnels have become important public infrastructure in the new urban areas of our country. In case of a gas explosion accident, it will seriously endanger public safety. To reveal the mechanism of the collaborative effect of water mist and porous slip

Matrix-free continuation of limit cycles and their bifurcations for a ducted premixed flame
Many experimental studies have demonstrated that ducted premixed flames exhibit stable limit cycles in some regions of parameter space. Recent experiments have also shown that these (period-1) limit cycles subsequently bifurcate to period- $2^{n ...

A high-pressure premixed flat-flame burner for chemical process studies [PDF]
A premixed flat-flame burner was designed and tested with methane-air mixtures at pressures from 1.1 to 20 atm and equivalence ratios from 0.7 to 1.1. Reactant velocity in the burner mixing chamber was used to characterize the range of stable flames at ...
