miR‐135a‐5p Is a Promising Target to Prevent the Glomerulosclerosis Associated with Podocyte Developmental Toxicity in Offspring Induced by Prenatal Dexamethasone Exposure

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Prenatal dexamethasone exposure (PDE) programs persistent podocyte developmental injury and adult glomerulosclerosis. Mechanistically, glucocorticoid receptor (GR) binds the miR‐135a‐5p promoter and recruits the histone acetyltransferase p300, increasing promoter histone acetylation and sustaining miR‐135a‐5p expression. Elevated miR‐135a‐5p suppresses

Long-read sequencing transforms the diagnosis of congenital adrenal hyperplasia: resolving pseudogene interference and structural variations

open access: yesFrontiers in Pediatrics
BackgroundCongenital adrenal hyperplasia (CAH) is an autosomal recessive disorder primarily caused by defects in adrenal steroidogenesis. Conventional genetic methods struggle to resolve complex structural variations and pseudogene interference in key ...

Second trimester maternal serum D-dimer combined with alpha-fetoprotein and free β-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin predict hypertensive disorders of pregnancy: a systematic review and retrospective case–control study

open access: yesJournal of Translational Medicine, 2021
Background This study investigated whether maternal serum D-dimer (DD) alone or DD combined with alpha-fetoprotein (AFP) and free β-subunit of human chorionic gonadotropin (free β-hCG) in the second trimester could be used to predict hypertensive ...

RENAL‐CHIP: Rejection Evaluation via Non‐Invasive Analysis of Circulating Podocytes With Herringbone‐Chip Isolation Platform

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RENAL‐CHIP converts 1 mL of peripheral blood into a biopsy‐equivalent readout of renal‐allograft fate. By magnetic capture and release of donor‐derived circulating podocytes through a herringbone microfluidic chip, 84% capture, 96% release and single‐cell RNA evidence of rejection‐specific immunity are achieved.

Insufficient gene expression and lost gene regulatory network may underlie the mechanism of Hirschsprung Disease in 5p–syndrome

open access: yesHeliyon
Cri-du-chat syndrome (CDC, OMIM 123450) is a rare chromosomal syndrome that results from partial deletions on the short arm of chromosome 5, known as 5p minus. Substantial clinical and genetic heterogeneity were observed in CDC patients.

Accuracy of prenatal screening for congenital heart disease in population: A retrospective study in Southern France.

open access: yesPLoS ONE, 2020
Congenital heart diseases (CHDs) are the most common congenital malformations. The objective of our study was to evaluate the prenatal screening accuracy of congenital heart disease (CHD) in Southern France and to evaluate the impact of a prenatal ...

Hierarchical Channeled Graphitized Nanoarchitecture as a Diagnostic Platform for Maternal Fever Warning

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study presents a hierarchically channeled graphitized nanoarchitecture (HPGC‐Z67) as a novel nano‐diagnostic platform. It enables sensitive and efficient N‐glycan extraction from plasma, significantly reducing processing time and cost. The platform identifies pivotal N‐glycans to accurately differentiate between infectious and non‐infectious ...
