Comparative Evaluation of Single Buccal Infiltration of 4% Articaine versus Buccal and Palatal Infiltration of 2% Lignocaine in Patients with Symptomatic Irreversible Pulpitis in Maxillary Molars: A Randomised Controlled Trial [PDF]

open access: yesJournal of Clinical and Diagnostic Research
Introduction: For pain management during dental treatment procedure, Local Anaesthesia (LA) is essential. In cases of maxillary teeth buccal and palatal infiltration of 2% lignocaine is commonly used anaesthetic technique.

UCtracker: A Deep Learning–Based DNA Methylation Model for Noninvasive Diagnosis and Recurrence Surveillance of Urothelial Carcinoma in a Prospective Study

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
We developed UCtracker, a urine DNA methylation–based deep learning model, for noninvasive diagnosis and postoperative surveillance of urothelial carcinoma. UCtracker demonstrates high diagnostic accuracy, robustness at ultralow sequencing depth, early recurrence detection, and dynamic risk‐stratified monitoring of molecular residual disease ...

YAP1‐Driven Pathogenic Fibro‐Adipogenic Progenitors Secrete IL‐6 and FGF21 to Mediate Muscle‐Bone Crosstalk and Promote Bone Loss

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Fibro‐adipogenic progenitors (FAPs) in atrophic muscle undergo YAP1‐driven pathogenic activation, secreting IL‐6 and FGF21 as bone‐catabolic myokines that mediate muscle‐bone crosstalk and promote bone loss. Genetic or pharmacological targeting of this YAP1‐FAP‐myokine axis rescues skeletal deterioration, identifying FAP‐derived myokines as therapeutic

RGS16 Aggravates Hepatic Ischemia‐Reperfusion Injury via Hepatocyte‐Intrinsic Apoptosis/Inflammation & Neutrophil Recruitment/NETosis

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
RGS16 competitively interferes with the YTHDF3–PAN3 complex to prevent CXCL1 mRNA decay during hepatic ischemia‐reperfusion injury. Stabilized CXCL1 strengthens hepatocyte injury, neutrophil recruitment, and NET‐associated inflammation, uncovering how stress‐induced RGS16 converts post‐transcriptional regulation into immune‐mediated liver damage ...

Imaging memory in temporal lobe epilepsy: predicting the effects of temporal lobe resection [PDF]

open access: yes, 2010
Functional magnetic resonance imaging can demonstrate the functional anatomy of cognitive processes. In patients with refractory temporal lobe epilepsy, evaluation of preoperative verbal and visual memory function is important as anterior temporal lobe ...

Targeting Tex10 Overcomes Oxaliplatin Resistance by Competitively Disrupting the Non‐Canonical BAF Complex in Colorectal Cancer

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This study reveals that Tex10 drives oxaliplatin resistance in colorectal cancer by competitively binding BRD9 to disrupt the ncBAF complex, thereby suppressing AMBRA1 transcription and ULK1‐mediated autophagy. Gemcitabine is identified as a direct Tex10 inhibitor that restores autophagy and overcomes resistance.

Preoperative Warming Versus no Preoperative Warming for Maintenance of Normothermia in Women Receiving Intrathecal Morphine for Cesarean Delivery: A Single-Blinded, Randomized Controlled Trial [PDF]

open access: yes, 2018
BACKGROUND: Rates of hypothermia for women undergoing spinal anesthesia for cesarean delivery are high and prevention is desirable. This trial compared the effectiveness of preoperative warming versus usual care among women receiving intrathecal morphine,

EndoTac: An Endoscopic Camera‐Based Tactile Sensor with High Sensitivity for Minimally Invasive Surgery

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
EndoTac presents a trocar‐compatible endoscopic vision‐based tactile sensor that uses a convex mirror to enlarge side‐facing tactile coverage during minimally invasive vessel palpation. Distorted tactile images are unwarped and processed by a learning model to estimate vascular deformation, enabling sensitive, spatially distributed tactile perception ...

Relationship between Preoperative Pulmonary Function Test Parameters and Postoperative Pulmonary Complications in Laparoscopic Obesity Surgery

open access: yesAhi Evran Medical Journal
Purpose: The value of preoperative spirometry in laparoscopic obesity surgery is a subject of debate. The aim of our study is to investigate the relationship between preoperative pulmonary function tests (PFT) and postoperative pulmonary complications.

Evaluating the Correlation Between Preoperative Examination Results, Prognosis, and Pathology Results in Temporal Lobe Epilepsy Patients

open access: yes, 2020
Objectives:This prospective study aims to compare the diagnostic value of different preoperative examinations in patients who underwent TLE surgery for treatment-resistant temporal lobe epilepsy, following histopathological evaluations, and to evaluate ...
