Order extension of order monomorphisms on a preordered topological space

open access: yesInternational Journal of Mathematics and Mathematical Sciences, 1993
This paper proves Nachbin-type extension theorems for infinitely many functions on a topological space equipped with a preorder.

The Comparison Between Low‐ and High‐Concentration Injection Solution Ability for Colorectal Endoscopic Submucosal Dissection

open access: yesJournal of Gastroenterology and Hepatology, Volume 40, Issue 6, Page 1419-1427, June 2025.
ABSTRACT Background and Aim Injection solution is important for achieving submucosal elevation in endoscopic submucosal dissection (ESD) and various viscous solutions categorized as low‐concentration injection solution (LCS) or high‐concentration injection solution (HCS) are used.

How Effective Are Machine Learning and Doubly Robust Estimators in Incorporating High‐Dimensional Proxies to Reduce Residual Confounding?

open access: yesPharmacoepidemiology and Drug Safety, Volume 34, Issue 5, May 2025.
ABSTRACT Background Residual confounding presents a persistent challenge in observational studies, particularly in high‐dimensional settings. High‐dimensional proxy adjustment methods, such as the high‐dimensional propensity score (hdPS), are widely used to address confounding bias by incorporating proxies for unmeasured confounders. Extensions of hdPS

Identifying challenges in crowdfunded product development: a review of Kickstarter projects

open access: yesDesign Science, 2018
This paper provides an empirical review of the reward-based crowdfunding platform Kickstarter.com, with the aim to explore and identify challenges in crowdfunded product development, which consequently can lead to failure of the crowdfunding campaign ...

Minimal limit key polynomials

open access: yesJournal of the London Mathematical Society, Volume 111, Issue 5, May 2025.
Abstract In this paper, we extend the theory of minimal limit key polynomials of valuations on the polynomial ring K[x]$K[x]$. Minimal key polynomials are useful to describe, for instance, the defect of an extension of valued fields. We use the theory of cuts on ordered abelian groups to show that the previous results on bounded sets of key polynomials

On the parameterized Tate construction

open access: yesJournal of Topology, Volume 18, Issue 1, March 2025.
Abstract We introduce and study a genuine equivariant refinement of the Tate construction associated to an extension Ĝ$\widehat{G}$ of a finite group G$G$ by a compact Lie group K$K$, which we call the parameterized Tate construction (−)tGK$(-)^{t_G K}$.

Almost quasi-Urbanik structures and theories

open access: yesҚарағанды университетінің хабаршысы. Математика сериясы
The notions of almost quasi-Urbanik structures and theories, and studied possibilities for the degrees of quasi-Urbanikness, both for existential and universal cases were introduced. Links of these characteristics and their possible values are described.

Structures on the space of financial events

open access: yesAtti della Accademia Peloritana dei Pericolanti : Classe di Scienze Fisiche, Matematiche e Naturali, 2008
In this paper we endow the space of financial events with some structures, each of them represents basic facts of financial mathematics. We introduce a preordered structure, that we shall call the usual preorder of the financial events plane, and an ...

Adaptive Factored Incomplete Inverse Matrices

open access: yesNumerical Linear Algebra with Applications, Volume 32, Issue 1, February 2025.
ABSTRACT The solution of large sparse linear systems is an essential part in many scientific fields. Numerical solution of such systems is usually performed using iterative methods in conjunction with effective preconditioning schemes. A new class of factored approximate inverses is proposed, namely adaptive factored incomplete inverse matrices, which ...
