The effects of prescribed burs on the quantity and quality of deer (Odocoileus virginianus) browse were studied during March, 1966, 1967, and 1968, on the Catoosa Wildlife Management Area, Tennessee. The 1968 burn contained slightly less available browse than the unburned site.
