Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Spectral order on unbounded operators and their symmetries
The spectral order on positive unbounded operators affiliated with von Neumann algebras have been considered. The spectral order has physical meaning of comparing distribution functions of quantum observables and organizes the structure of unbounded ...

Preservers for the Tsallis Entropy of Convex Combinations of Density Operators
Let H be a complex separable Hilbert space; we first characterize the unitary equivalence of two density operators by use of Tsallis entropy and then obtain the form of a surjective map on density operators preserving Tsallis entropy of convex ...

Biomolecular condensates formed by fused in sarcoma (FUS) are dissolved by high ATP concentrations yet persist in cells. Using a reconstituted system, we demonstrate that valosin‐containing protein (VCP), an AAA+ ATPase, counteracts ATP‐driven dissolution of FUS condensates through its D2 ATPase activity.

A Note on -Potence Preservers on Matrix Spaces over Complex Field
Let be the field of all complex numbers, the space of all matrices over , and the subspace of consisting of all symmetric matrices. The map satisfies that is -potent in implying that is -potent in , where then there exist an invertible matrix ...

ERRFI1, a neural crest (NC)‐associated gene, was upregulated in melanoma and negatively correlated with the expression of melanocytic differentiation markers and the susceptibility of melanoma cells toward BRAF inhibitors (BRAFi). Knocking down ERRFI1 significantly increased the sensitivity of melanoma cells to BRAFi.

Development of therapies targeting cancer‐associated fibroblasts (CAFs) necessitates preclinical model systems that faithfully represent CAF–tumor biology. We established an in vitro coculture system of patient‐derived pancreatic CAFs and tumor cell lines and demonstrated its recapitulation of primary CAF–tumor biology with single‐cell transcriptomics ...

Successful preservation of kidney allografts must counteract the cellular damage evolving after brain death or circulatory arrest. Static cold storage is the simplest method and has therefore been the most widely used. Several preservation fluids have been specially designed for this purpose, but a number of other fluids have been co-opted from other ...

Dual targeting of RET and SRC synergizes in RET fusion‐positive cancer cells
Despite the strong activity of selective RET tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs), resistance of RET fusion‐positive (RET+) lung cancer and thyroid cancer frequently occurs and is mainly driven by RET‐independent bypass mechanisms. Son et al. show that SRC TKIs significantly inhibit PAK and AKT survival signaling and enhance the efficacy of RET TKIs in ...
