Windrow Composting of Waste Sugar Cane and Press Mud Mixtures

Sugar Tech, 2013
Compost made from mixtures of sugarcane byproducts bagasse and press mud are produced in several countries. In this work experimental results are presented for composting trials in which bagasse was substituted with waste sugarcane in the mixture with press mud. A trial was carried out in large scale windrows mechanically turned.

Effect of dietary utilisation of sugarcane press mud on production performance of Muzaffarnagari lambs

Tropical Animal Health and Production, 2017
Sugarcane press mud (SPM) is one of the potential agro-industrial by-products available in India and research exploring its utilisation in small ruminant nutrition is scanty. In this direction, the present study evaluated the feasibility of dietary incorporation of SPM at different levels in a feeding trial lasting 180 days.

Biohydrogen production by anaerobic co-digestion of press mud and domestic sewage

International Journal of Environment and Waste Management, 2012
Anaerobic fermentation of press mud and sewage for biohydrogen production was conducted in six batch reactors for various total solid concentrations between 5 – 8.5%. Chemical oxygen demand, pH, total solid % for biohydrogen produced were monitored regularly. The experiments were conducted for 40 days to optimise the total solid content of the feed for
