High temperature acoustic levitator [PDF]
A system is described for acoustically levitating an object within a portion of a chamber that is heated to a high temperature, while a driver at the opposite end of the chamber is maintained at a relatively low temperature.

Transient combustion responses of homogeneous propellants to acoustic oscillations in axisymmetric rocket motors [PDF]
A numerical analysis of unsteady motions in solid rocket motors has been conducted. The formulation considers a 2-D axisymmetric combustion chamber and a choke nozzle, and treats the complete conservation equations accounting for turbulence closure ...

Creep experiments at 900°C on coarse‐grained steel‐ceramic composites containing recycled magnesia reveal that higher ceramic volume fractions significantly enhance the creep resistance. Detailed EBSD investigations identify subgrain formation in the steel matrix as the dominant deformation mechanism.

Morphology and Structure of Carbon Films Deposited at Varying Chamber Pressures
Depositing thin and thick films through different types of deposition units is a topic of great interest. In deposition chamber, each synthesis is carried out at some value of chamber pressure. In addition to different gases, photon energy also exists in

Head for high speed spinner having a vacuum chuck [PDF]
The head for a high-speed spinner is characterized by a substantially cylindrical body adapted to be mounted at the distal end of a vertically oriented drive shaft. A vacuum chuck with an upwardly facing chamber is circumscribed by an annular surface for

Electrical Conductivities of Conductors, Semiconductors, and Their Mixtures at Elevated Temperatures
This article presents a comprehensive review of temperature‐dependent electrical conductivity data for multiple material classes at elevated temperatures, highlighting a persistent conductivity gap between metals and semiconductors in the range of 102$\left(10\right)^{2}$– 107$\left(10\right)^{7}$ S/m. Metal–ceramic irregular metamaterials are proposed

Study on large-scale vortices in chamber floor ports system [PDF]
The chamber floor ports system is an improved design based on the German pressure chamber. Large-scale vortices within the pressure chamber serve as critical factors affecting system performance. This study establishes a large-scale vortex theory for the

Theoretical Framework for Microscopic Osmotic Phenomena
The basic ingredients of osmotic pressure are a solvent fluid with a soluble molecular species which is restricted to a chamber by a boundary which is permeable to the solvent fluid but impermeable to the solute molecules.

Four‐point bending tests are conducted in an argon atmosphere on commercial MgO‐C brick grades with and without MgO‐C recyclate from room temperature up to 1300 °C. No detrimental effect of the MgO‐C recyclates on bending strength is found. Instead, a decisive influence of the total carbon content is observed, with lower total carbon contents ...

Cellular thermosetting fluoropolymers and process for making them [PDF]
Thermosetting fluoropolymer foams are made by mixing fluid from thermosetting fluoropolymer components having a substantial fluoride content, placing the mixture in a pressure tight chamber, filling the chamber with a gas, at a relatively low pressure ...
