Pressure Distribution in Centrifugal Dental Casting

Journal of Dental Research, 1978
Equations are developed for liquid metal pressure in centrifugal dental casting, given the instantaneous rotational velocity, density, and certain dimensions of the casting machine and casting pattern. A "reference parabola" is introduced making the fluid pressure concept more understandable.

Theoretical Pressure Distribution in Journal Bearings

Journal of Applied Mechanics, 1961
By assuming oil viscosity constant, Reynolds’ equation for journal bearings has been solved in a manner similar to Hill’s method. Two approximate solutions using E. O. Waters’ method and Ritz’s method have been added. Numerical computations have been carried out for a centrally supported 120-deg bearing with a unity slenderness ratio.

The Blood Pressure Distribution

2011
This section is organized in the following manner. In Subsection 9.1.1, we give a short background on systemic arterial pressure for those readers who come from a mathematical background and are not familiar with this subject. In Subsection 9.1.2, we build a model as a hybrid system with jumps equation and controlled switching moments and find ...

Pressure distribution in gaskets of high pressure devices

Review of Scientific Instruments, 1980
The values of the coefficient of internal friction μ and the yield stress σ0 of materials which are used in gaskets of high pressure devices, are given. The mathematical expressions, based on the analysis of the real pressure distribution in the gasket of Bridgman anvils enables one to calculate the gasket geometry and the forces acting on the pistons ...

Surface pressure distribution and pressure drag on mountains

Meteorology and Atmospheric Physics, 1990
A mesoscale numerical model is used to compute the different components of the pressure drag on mountains, i.e.: form drag, wave drag, hydrostatic drag, and total pressure drag, for stable stratification. The Froude number is chosen so that non-breaking lee-waves evolve.
