This study compared two pressure ulcer risk scales (Braden and Waterlow) with a generic nursing Care Dependency Scale (CDS), which provides general information about the patient's individual need for care. The CDS is based on Virginia Henderson's theoretical framework and has 15 items covering physical and psychological aspects of daily living.
