Silk Fibroin Nanofiber–Immobilized Horseradish Peroxidase Enables Continuous Preparation of Injectable Hydrogels With Negligible Residual Enzyme for Drug Delivery

open access: yesAdvanced Materials Technologies, EarlyView.
Overcoming the immunogenicity challenges of enzyme‐mediated crosslinking, a flow‐through reactor utilizing SFNF‐HRP enables the continuous production of injectable hydrogels. This continuous platform ensures homogeneous crosslinking while minimizing residual HRP in the resulting hydrogels.

Displacive In‐Plane Ferroelectricity with Domain‐Specific Curie Temperature in Van der Waals Semiconductors

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Temperature‐dependent electron diffraction on tin monochalcogenides demonstrates a gradual displacive transformation between ferroelectric and paraelectric phases with significant variability in lattice constants and Curie temperature (TC). Periodic variations exist even between domains in individual crystals, implying a domain‐specific Curie ...

Analysis on the important design features of an evolutionary advanced pressurized water reactor

open access: yes, 2010
[[abstract]]The authors study the effects of important design features of the evolutionary advanced pressurized water reactor i.e. a larger pressurizer and a larger steam generator, on the selected limiting transients and the complete loss of normal feed

Physics‐Constrained Constitutive Learning of Rate‐Limiting Timescales for Efficient Hydrogen‐Based Direct Reduction for Green Steel Making

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A conversion‐resolved constitutive framework is developed for the hydrogen‐based direct reduction of iron oxide pellets. Effective reaction and transport timescales are inferred directly from measured trajectories and mapped against operating conditions, pellet architecture, and composition. The analysis reveals how late‐stage transport control emerges

Two-Phase Flow Simulations for PTS Investigation by Means of Neptune_CFD Code

open access: yesScience and Technology of Nuclear Installations, 2009
Two-dimensional axisymmetric simulations of pressurized thermal shock (PTS) phenomena through Neptune_CFD module are presented aiming at two-phase models validation against experimental data. Because of PTS complexity, only some thermal-hydraulic aspects

Numerical studies of multiphase flow in a pressurized water reactor

open access: yes, 1978
The K-TIF numerical method for calculating the transient dynamics of two interpenetrating fluids has been extended and applied to the study of flow in a pressurized water reactor during a hypothetical loss of coolant accident.

Ultra‐Radiostable Covalent Conformationally Interlocked Networks Enabling a Universal Radiometal‐Labeling Platform for Cancer Radioembolization

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Conjugated poly(imide dioxime)‐based microspheres establish a radiometal coordination‐driven conformational interlocked network with ultra‐high radiostability. This platform enables low‐temperature, multi‐radionuclide labeling for SPECT/PET/MRI imaging and radionuclide therapy. Mechanistic insights from EXAFS and DFT reveal enhanced stability, while in

Efficient Adsorption‐Based Direct Air Capture Via Triply Periodic Minimal Surface Architectures

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Architected triply periodic minimal surface (TPMS) contactors reshape direct air capture by replacing straight‐channel diffusion limits with convection‐enhanced CO2 transport. Chaotic advection thins boundary layers and exposes fast adsorption sites, enabling 70%–75% more fast sites, 114% higher productivity, and 51.8% lower energy consumption than ...
