RESUMO: A associação entre os sintomas de refluxo gastro-esofágico (RGE) e as queixas respiratórias é já conhecida em doentes com asma. Na população adulta americana estimase que os sintomas de RGE ocorrem em frequências de 7% diariamente, 14 a 19% semanalmente e 40% mensalmente.
