Price Discovery in the Chinese Gold Market [PDF]

open access: yesSSRN Electronic Journal, 2016
This study conducts price discovery analysis in the Chinese gold market. Our results indicate that Chinese gold market price discovery occurs predominantly in the futures market. The result is robust to numerous different measures of price discovery, namely, information share, component share, and information leadership share.

Structural instability impairs function of the UDP‐xylose synthase 1 Ile181Asn variant associated with short‐stature genetic syndrome in humans

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
The Ile181Asn variant of human UDP‐xylose synthase (hUXS1), associated with a short‐stature genetic syndrome, has previously been reported as inactive. Our findings demonstrate that Ile181Asn‐hUXS1 retains catalytic activity similar to the wild‐type but exhibits reduced stability, a looser oligomeric state, and an increased tendency to precipitate ...

Tau acetylation at K331 has limited impact on tau pathology in vivo

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
We mapped tau post‐translational modifications in humanized MAPT knock‐in mice and in amyloid‐bearing double knock‐in mice. Acetylation within the repeat domain, particularly around K331, showed modest increases under amyloid pathology. To test functional relevance, we generated MAPTK331Q knock‐in mice.

Price Discovery in Floor and Screen Trading Systems [PDF]

open access: yes
We analyze price discovery in floor-based and electronic exchanges using data from the German stock market. We find that both markets contribute to price discovery.

Gut microbiome and aging—A dynamic interplay of microbes, metabolites, and the immune system

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Age‐dependent shifts in microbial communities engender shifts in microbial metabolite profiles. These in turn drive shifts in barrier surface permeability of the gut and brain and induce immune activation. When paired with preexisting age‐related chronic inflammation this increases the risk of neuroinflammation and neurodegenerative diseases.

Asset Pricing and Evidence of Price Discovery in Sustainable Equity Portfolios

open access: yesThe Lahore Journal of Business, 2021
Using the Fama-French three factor method, the size sorted liquidity-based three factor method, and the Fama-French five factor model, this study explores the dynamics of price discovery and asset pricing in sustainable equity portfolios.

Diversity and complexity in neural organoids

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Neural organoid research aims to expand genetic diversity on one side and increase tissue complexity on the other. Chimeroids integrate multiple donor genomes within single organoids. Self‐organising multi‐identity organoids, exogenous cell seeding, or enforced assembly of region‐specific organoids contribute to tissue complexity.

Price Discovery in Canadian Government Bond Futures and Spot Markets [PDF]

open access: yes
In this paper we look at the relative information content of cash and futures prices for Canadian Government bonds. We follow the information-share approaches introduced by Hasbrouck (1995) and Harris et al (1995), applying the techniques in Gonzalo ...
