Transmission Mechanisms of Oil Price Fluctuations on Prices

open access: yesJurnal Bisnis, Manajemen, dan Ekonomi, 2023
This paper aims to understand the effects of oil price fluctuations on the real economy and prices, using an ARDL model with quarterly data from 2007 to 2021. The results will help policy makers and economic actors to better understand the transmission mechanisms of oil price fluctuations on the economy and prices, which is important for oil-dependent ...

Poverty and Price Transmission [PDF]

open access: yes, 2014
A key parameter determining the welfare impact from a world market shock is the transmission elasticity which measures the average domestic response to an international price change. Many studies have estimated price transmission elasticities for a large number of countries but the variation in these estimates is so far largely unexplored.

Mapping the evolution of mitochondrial complex I through structural variation

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
Respiratory complex I (CI) is crucial for bioenergetic metabolism in many prokaryotes and eukaryotes. It is composed of a conserved set of core subunits and additional accessory subunits that vary depending on the organism. Here, we categorize CI subunits from available structures to map the evolution of CI across eukaryotes. Respiratory complex I (CI)

Phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinase as a target of pathogens—friend or foe?

open access: yesFEBS Letters, EarlyView.
This graphical summary illustrates the roles of phosphatidylinositol 4‐kinases (PI4Ks). PI4Ks regulate key cellular processes and can be hijacked by pathogens, such as viruses, bacteria and parasites, to support their intracellular replication. Their dual role as essential host enzymes and pathogen cofactors makes them promising drug targets.
