Recent Advances in Sustainable Single‐Atom Catalysts from Biomass and Solid Waste: Design, Synthesis and Applications

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Biomass‐ and solid waste‐derived sustainable single‐atom catalysts (Sus‐SACs) provide a cost‐effective and renewable approach to catalyst design. This review summarizes precursor selection, including AI‐assisted screening, synthesis strategies with emphasis on ultrafast methods, and advanced characterization techniques.

Relation between short-term and long-term contracts on the electricity markets in Europe [PDF]

open access: yesEkonomija: teorija i praksa, 2019
Usually, long-term prices on the power exchanges are on average higher compared to the short-term ones. It is possible to exploit this pattern when developing power market related trading strategies. Furthermore, if there is a way to establish situations

Electrolyte‐Dependent Sodium Plating for Anode‐Free Na‐Ion Batteries Studied by Operando Optical Microscopy

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
Anode‐free sodium‐ion batteries are examined using carbonate‐, glyme‐, and localized high‐concentration electrolytes. Distinct sodium plating morphologies are identified by operando optical microscopy, revealing uniform crystalline deposition for glyme‐based systems.

Unlocking Plant‐Derived Potential: Regulating Microcrystalline Structure Design of High‐performance Hard Carbon Anodes via Cellulose Molecules

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
The microcrystalline structure of hard carbon derived from green sandalwood is modulated by controlling the steric hindrance effect of the precursor, thereby significantly enhancing ion diffusion kinetics. When utilized in sodium‐ion batteries, it demonstrates excellent cycle life, exceeding 7000 cycles, as well as superior low‐temperature performance,

Benchmarking and Fair Pricing Applied to Two Market Models [PDF]

open access: yes
This paper considers a market containing both continuous and discrete noise. Modest assumptions ensure the existence of a growth optimal portfolio. Non-negative self-financing trading strategies, when benchmarked by this portfolio, are local martingales ...

Highly Efficient Extraction of 212 Pb/212Bi from the Decay Chain of 232Th‐Based on Anion Exchange in Bromide Medium

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
This work provides an effective strategy for selectively extracting 212Pb and 212Bi from the decay chain of 232Th as well as its mechanism illustration. Using the novel strategy, 2.07 MBq of 212Pb is successfully separated from 232Th and its daughters, which enables the supply of 212Pb/212Bi directly from the abundant natural thorium resource to be ...

Pricing strategies by European Low Cost Carriers. [PDF]

open access: yes
We introduce an on-line pricing tactic where airlines post, at the same time and for the same flight, fares in different currencies that violate the law of One Price.

A Scalable BaTiO3 Nanocoating Strategy for Cost‐Effective and Stable Sulfide‐Based All‐Solid‐State Batteries

open access: yesAdvanced Science, EarlyView.
A rapid and scalable 10 min BaTiO3 (BTO) nanocoating uniformly encapsulates Li‐P‐S‐X sulfide electrolytes, serving as a dielectric “shield” that enhances air stability, reduces cost, and mitigates interfacial degradation. This multifunctional coating enables fast‐charging, durable all‐solid‐state batteries with ultralong cycling stability (>10 000 ...
