Quantifying Spin Defect Density in hBN via Raman and Photoluminescence Analysis

open access: yesAdvanced Functional Materials, EarlyView.
An all‐optical method is presented for quantifying the density of boron vacancy spin defects in hexagonal boron nitride (hBN). By correlating Raman and photoluminescence signals with irradiation fluence, defect‐induced Raman modes are identified and established an relationship linking optical signatures to absolute defect densities. This enables direct

Relationships between structural stigma, societal stigma, and minority stress among gender minority people

open access: yesScientific Reports
Structural stigma towards gender minority (GM; people whose current gender does not align with sex assigned at birth) people is an important contributor to minority stress (i.e., stress experienced due to one’s marginalized GM identity), although ...

Pride and Discretion

open access: yesCaliban, 2017

Chemoselective Characterization of New Extracellular Matrix Deposition in Bioengineered Tumor Tissues

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Understanding the bi‐directional crosstalk between cells and their surrounding extracellular matrix (ECM) is critical for tissue engineering. This study presents a chemoselective strategy for proteomic profiling of newly deposited ECM from resident cells.

Magnetic Domain Texture in Fe3O4 Thin Films on SiO2 Nanospheres

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
Fe3O4 thin films grown on ordered SiO2 nanospheres form curved nanocaps with 3D geometry, inducing magnetic domain texture. X‐ray spectromicroscopy (XMCD‐PEEM), cross‐sectional electron microscopy (STEM), and polarized grazing‐incidence small‐angle neutron scattering (GISANS) reveal how topography modulates magnetization.

Le silence dans la correspondance de Mme de Maintenon, ou l’art d’un style qui se tait

open access: yesQuêtes Littéraires, 2017

Techniques and Advances in Ultrafast Photography

open access: yesAdvanced Photonics Research, EarlyView.
This review maps the fast‐growing field of ultrafast photography from early mechanical cameras to modern optical‐computational methods. It organizes techniques into four families (multishot passive/active; single‐shot passive/active), explains how they reach trillion‐frame‐per‐second speeds, compares capabilities and tradeoffs, and highlights ...
