Multi‐Goal‐Oriented Anisotropic Error Control and Mesh Adaptivity for Time‐Dependent Convection‐Dominated Problems

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT In this work, we present an anisotropic multi‐goal error control based on the dual weighted residual (DWR) method for time‐dependent convection–diffusion–reaction (CDR) equations. Motivated by former work, we combine multiple goals to single error functionals with weights chosen as algorithmic parameters.

Comparison of A‐Posteriori Error Estimators in the Context of Parametric Model Order Reduction by Matrix Interpolation

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The use of parametric model order reduction (pMOR) by matrix interpolation enables efficient simulation of large‐scale finite element (FE) models in multi‐query applications such as optimization and uncertainty quantification. In this method, high‐fidelity systems are sampled, individually reduced by projection‐based model order reduction, and

Discontinuous Galerkin Trefftz Methods for Model Reduction of Wave Phenomena

open access: yesProceedings in Applied Mathematics and Mechanics, Volume 26, Issue 2, June 2026.
ABSTRACT The space–time discontinuous Galerkin (dG)‐Trefftz is known to be a highly efficient numerical scheme for solving linear hyperbolic problems. We investigate to what extent such a dG‐Trefftz method can be used as a basis for a model reduction method for a traveling wave problem using the wave speed as a parameter.

Translation and Cross‐Cultural Adaptation of Sydney Swallow Questionnaire in Urdu and Its Psychometric Properties Among Post‐Stroke Dysphagia Patients

open access: yesWorld Journal of Otorhinolaryngology - Head and Neck Surgery, Volume 12, Issue 3, Page 331-337, June 2026.
ABSTRACT Objectives Self‐rating questionnaires provide a detailed overview of the symptomatic severity of post‐stroke dysphagia in the geriatric population; such assessment tools or the subjective evaluation of post‐stroke dysphagia are unavailable for Urdu‐speaking patients.

Gender Differences in the Longitudinal Relationship Between Psychological Distress and Perceived Social Support

open access: yesApplied Psychology: Health and Well-Being, Volume 18, Issue 3, June 2026.
Abstract The benefits of social connections for well‐being are often assumed, yet few studies test whether social support predicts mental health over extended periods nor whether these effects are experienced equally across women and men. We address this gap by examining gender differences in the longitudinal associations between perceived social ...
