This chapter contains three major sections, each one roughly corresponding to a lecture. The first section is on computing primary decompositions, the second one is more specifically on binomial ideals, and the last one is on some primary decomposition questions in algebraic statistics and networks. © Springer International Publishing AG 2017.

Note on Primary Ideal Decompositions
Canadian Journal of Mathematics, 1966Let R be a ring with a unity element. An ideal Q of R is called (right) primary if for ideals A and B of R, AB ⊂ Q and A ⊄ Q imply that Bn ⊂ Q for some positive integer n. If R satisfies the ascending chain condition for ideals (ACC), then R is said to have a Noetherian ideal theory if every ideal of R is an intersection of a finite number of primary ...

Primary Mechanism of the Thermal Decomposition of Tricyclodecane
The Journal of Physical Chemistry A, 2006To better understand the thermal decomposition of polycyclanes, the pyrolysis of tricyclodecane has been studied in a jet-stirred reactor at temperatures from 848 to 933 K, for residence times between 0.5 and 6 s and at atmospheric pressure, corresponding to a conversion between 0.01% and 25%.
