Phase‐field simulations coupled with dislocation‐density‐based crystal plasticity modeling reproduce γ′ rafting behavior in single‐crystal Ni‐based superalloys under varied loading conditions. The model captures both macroscopic creep and microscopic morphology evolution, with results matching high‐temperature creep experiments.

Deep Learning for the Radiographic Detection of periodontal Bone Loss [PDF]
We applied deep convolutional neural networks (CNNs) to detect periodontal bone loss (PBL) on panoramic dental radiographs. We synthesized a set of 2001 image segments from panoramic radiographs. Our reference test was the measured % of PBL.

Natal primary molar: clinical and histological aspects
The authors report a case of natal primary molar in a healthy 14-day-old child. The diagnosis of the case and the treatment plan are discussed, as well as histological analyses of the natal tooth. The tooth presented an immature appearance, with high mobility and insertion only in soft tissue, and therefore the clinical option adopted was dental ...

Brief Communication: Intertooth and Intrafacet Dental Microwear Variation in an Archaeological Sample of Modern Humans From the Jordan Valley [PDF]
Dental microwear was recorded in a Bronze-Iron Age (3570–3000 BP) sample of modern humans recovered from Tell es-Sa'idiyeh in the Jordan Valley. Microwear patterns were compared between mandibular molars, and between the upper and lower part of facet 9 ...

Multimodal Data‐Driven Microstructure Characterization
A self‐consistent autonomous workflow for EBSP‐based microstructure segmentation by integrating PCA, GMM clustering, and cNMF with information‐theoretic parameter selection, requiring no user input. An optimal ROI size related to characteristic grain size is identified.

A clinical and radiographic study of four different root canal fillings in primary molars
Background: Successful treatment of infected primary teeth aims to preserve the child′s health. However, the complex morphology of primary root canals and the desire for shorter therapy sessions put the necessity to search for the ideal root canal paste.

Molar-incisor hypomineralization and hypomineralized second primary molars
Purpose: The purpose of this study is to evaluate and compare the changes that occur in the morphology and crystalline structure of the superficial enamel of hypomineralized permanent and deciduous teeth. Materials and methods: 3 primary molars (1 healthy and 2 hypomineralized) and 4 permanent molars (1 healthy and 3 hypomineralized) went through a ...
