Plasticity in the Motor Network Following Primary Motor Cortex Lesion
2013The behavioral deficits following stroke are particularly evident in the fine control of force, movement, and posture of the arm and hand. However, functional recovery continues in the weeks and months after the initial lesion. Various animal models of stroke have been used to investigate the mechanisms involved with this recovery.

Location of the primary motor cortex in schizencephaly.
AJNR. American journal of neuroradiology, 1999Functional reorganization of the brain can result from congenital brain disorders as well as from brain infarction. The purpose of our study was to use functional MR imaging to determine whether reorganization of brain function occurs in patients with schizencephaly.Four patients with schizencephaly (three right-handed, one ambidextrous) presented with

Motor Imagery in the Primary Motor Cortex: A preliminary review
Understanding the role of motor cortex (M1) in motor imaginary (MI) is an interesting area of research for the treatment of pathological conditions affecting motor execution. For this reason, in this preliminary review, we examine the literature on the role of M1 in MI.Riggio, Febronia, Gangemi, Amelia
