All Callitrichidae have twins who are chimeras, but Callimico has singletons. Distribution of teneurin-1 (TEN 1) and teneurin-1 c-terminal associated peptide (TCAP-1) in neurons of the central nervous system of non-human primates (Cebus apella). [PDF]
As teneurinas (TENs) são de proteínas de transmembrana com significante expressão no sistema nervoso central (SNC). Foi verificado que o último éxon dos genes das TENs codifica um peptídeo com elevada identidade ao fator liberador de corticotropina (CRF)

"Paracoccidioidomycosis-infection" Survey in Brazilian Captive primates (Cebus apella)
The aim of this study was to verify the possible occurrence of paracoccidioidomycosis-infection in animals that belong to the Order Primates, once they are phylogenetically closest to the only naturally susceptible host of the disease, the human being.

Effects of whole-body X-irradiation on the peripheral blood of primate Cebus apella.
The effects of ionizing radiation on the peripheral blood elements of primate Cebus apella were examined after a single 25.8 mC/kg (100 R) dose of whole-body X-ray. We determined the number of white blood cells, neutrophils, eosinophils, basophils, lymphocytes, monocytes and erythrocytes up to 90 days after exposure of 5 animals. Hemoglobin content and
