ABSTRACT Objective To evaluate selumetinib exposure using therapeutic drug monitoring (TDM) in pediatric patients with neurofibromatosis type 1 (NF1) and plexiform neurofibromas (PN), assess interpatient pharmacokinetic variability, and explore the relationship between drug exposure, clinical response, and adverse effects.

ABSTRACT Purpose Pediatric central nervous system (CNS) tumors often recur despite multimodality therapy. Although re‐irradiation (re‐RT) has historically been limited by concerns for severe late toxicities, modern techniques have renewed interest in this approach. Proton therapy provides dosimetric advantages that may enable curative re‐treatment with

Polynomial behavior of the Honda formal group law
This note provides the calculation of the formal group law $F(x,y)$ in modulo $p$ Morava $K$-theory at prime $p$ and $s>1$ as an element in $K(s)^*[x][[y]]$ and one application to relevant examples.Comment: 4 pages, submitted in Journal of Homotopy and ...

Enteropathogenic E. coli (EPEC) infects the human intestinal epithelium, resulting in severe illness and diarrhoea. In this study, we compared the infection of cancer‐derived cell lines with human organoid‐derived models of the small intestine. We observed a delayed in attachment, inflammation and cell death on primary cells, indicating that host ...

A new characterization of Chevalley groups $\mathrm{G}_2(3^n)$ by the order of the group and the number of elements with the same order [PDF]
In this paper, we prove that Chevalley groups $G_2(q)$, where $q=3^n$ and $q^2+q+1$ is a prime number, can be uniquely determined by the order of group and the number of elements with the same order.

Resolvable Mendelsohn designs and finite Frobenius groups
We prove the existence and give constructions of a $(p(k)-1)$-fold perfect resolvable $(v, k, 1)$-Mendelsohn design for any integers $v > k \ge 2$ with $v \equiv 1 \mod k$ such that there exists a finite Frobenius group whose kernel $K$ has order $v$ and

Vanishing elements of prime power order
An element $x$ in a finite group $G$ is said to be \textit{vanishing} if some (complex) irreducible character of $G$ takes value $0$ at $x$. In this article, we prove that every non-abelian finite simple group, except $\mathrm{SL}_2(4)$ and $\mathrm{SL}_2(8)$, contains a vanishing element \textit{of prime power order} whose conjugacy class size is ...

Reciprocal control of viral infection and phosphoinositide dynamics
Phosphoinositides, although scarce, regulate key cellular processes, including membrane dynamics and signaling. Viruses exploit these lipids to support their entry, replication, assembly, and egress. The central role of phosphoinositides in infection highlights phosphoinositide metabolism as a promising antiviral target.

Elliptic elements in a Weyl group: a homogeneity property
Let G be a reductive group over an algebraically closed field whose characteristic is not a bad prime for G. Let w be an elliptic element of the Weyl group which has minimal length in its conjugacy class.

Protein pyrophosphorylation by inositol pyrophosphates — detection, function, and regulation
Protein pyrophosphorylation is an unusual signaling mechanism that was discovered two decades ago. It can be driven by inositol pyrophosphate messengers and influences various cellular processes. Herein, we summarize the research progress and challenges of this field, covering pathways found to be regulated by this posttranslational modification as ...
