Origin and growth of primordial black holes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
Building on the insight that primordial black holes can arise from the formation and subsequent gravitational collapse of bound states of stable supermassive elementary particles during the early radiation era, we offer a comprehensive picture describing

Constraints on primordial curvature spectrum from primordial black holes and scalar-induced gravitational waves

open access: yesEuropean Physical Journal C: Particles and Fields, 2023
The observational data of primordial black holes and scalar-induced gravitational waves can constrain the primordial curvature perturbation at small scales. We parameterize the primordial curvature perturbation by a broken power law form and find that it

Neutrino primordial Planckian black holes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2021
Extremal rotating black holes can be formed in the Planck energy scattering of Dirac spin parallel neutrinos in the mass state m2 (assuming m1=0), owing to the repulsive interaction between their magnetic dipoles, induced by vacuum fluctuations. Assuming

Primordial black holes from confinement [PDF]

open access: yesPhysical Review D, 2021
A mechanism for the formation of primordial black holes is proposed. Here, heavy quarks of a confining gauge theory produced by de Sitter fluctuations are pushed apart by inflation and get confined after horizon re-entry. The large amount of energy stored in the colour flux tubes connecting the quark pair leads to black-hole formation.

Inflation and Primordial Black Holes

open access: yesUniverse, 2023
We review conceptual aspects of inflationary scenarios able to produce primordial black holes by amplifying the size of curvature fluctuations to the level required to trigger black hole formation. We identify general mechanisms to do so, both for single-

Turning in the landscape: A new mechanism for generating primordial black holes

open access: yesPhysics Letters B, 2023
We propose a new model-independent mechanism for producing primordial black holes from a period of multi-field inflation. This requires an enhancement of primordial fluctuations at short scales compared to their value at CMB scales.

Formation and Clustering of Primordial Black Holes in Brans-Dicke Theory

open access: yesUniverse, 2020
The formation of primordial black holes in the early universe in the Brans-Dicke scalar-tensor theory of gravity is investigated. Corrections to the threshold value of density perturbations are found.
