Als Exkretflavonoide kann man jene Sekundärmetabolite bezeichnen, die mittels Drüsenhaare auf der Oberfläche oberirdischer Pflanzenteile akkumuliert werden. Exkretflavonoide kommen häufig bei alpinen Pflanzen vor, wie z.B. Primula L. und Dionysia Fenzl, den beiden in dieser Arbeit behandelten Pflanzengattungen.
