The excitation functions of Cd(II) spectral lines, namely, the lines of the 4d105s2S1/2−4d10np2P32/0 (n≤10) principal series and the line corresponding to a transition from the Beitler level 4d9(5s5p1P0)2P32/0, are analyzed under the conditions of electron-cadmium atom collisions in the electron energy range from excitation thresholds to 400 eV.

An approximation theorem for immersions with stable configurations of lines of principal curvature
1983It is proved that every immersion of a compact oriented two-dimensional smooth manifold into R3 can be arbitrarily C2-approximated by smooth immersions β whose principal configurations Pβ = (Uβ ,Fβ ,fβ) defined by umbilical points and families of lines of principal curvature, are stable under C3-sufficiently small perturbations of β.
