We demonstrate a technique to 3D print hydroponic systems which support the growth of various plant species. Our technique fabricates a landscape made entirely out of plastic, and automatically attaches plants seeds to predesignated positions on its surface; the end result is that by subjecting the printed, seed-attached landscape to water, light, and ...

Inkjet Printable Polyaniline Nanoformulations
Langmuir, 2007Aqueous polyaniline (PANI) nanodispersions doped with dodecylbenzenesulfonic acid (DBSA) were synthesized and successfully inkjet-printed using a piezoelectric desktop printer. This paper examines the optimization and characterization of the nanoparticulate formulation for optimal film electrochemistry and stability.

Developing printable content: A repository for printable teaching models
2008Alongside the development of RP technology, there is an increasing need to develop and share printable content. Like digital photography and digital music, content drives technology as much as technology drives content. This paper describes the development and population of an open wiki-style website (3Dprintables.org) that houses an archive of ...

Printable two-dimensional superconducting monolayers
Nature Materials, 2020Two-dimensional superconductor (2DSC) monolayers with non-centrosymmetry exhibit unconventional Ising pair superconductivity and an enhanced upper critical field beyond the Pauli paramagnetic limit, driving intense research interest. However, they are often susceptible to structural disorder and environmental oxidation, which destroy electronic ...

Printable solar cells attract academic and industrial interests because solar cells should be cost‐effective systems and have to be fabricated by non‐vacuum methods such as screen printing, doctor blading, spin coating, spray deposition, and electrochemical deposition.

Proceedings of the 2016 CHI Conference Extended Abstracts on Human Factors in Computing Systems, 2016
Digital fabrication, in particular additive manufacturing technology (aka 3D printing), has now emerged as a popular topic of investigation in both academic and DIY/makers circles. Of particular attention lately are techniques for fabricating functional systems as opposed to static objects-e.g., electronic/mechanical apparatuses, biological tissues ...
