Closed-cycle gas flow system for cooling of high Tc d.c. SQUID magnetometers [PDF]

open access: yes, 1994
A high Tc.d.c SQUID based magnetometer for magnetocardiography is currently under development at the University of Twente. Since such a magnetometer should be simple to use, the cooling of the system can be realized most practically by means of a ...

Electro‐Stimulated Graphene‐Polymer Nanocomposites Enable Wearable Patches With Feedback‐Controlled Drug Release

open access: yesAdvanced Healthcare Materials, EarlyView.
xx xx. ABSTRACT Stimuli‐responsive nanomaterials capable of spatiotemporal control over drug release are of nanocomposite patch (“e‐Medi‐Patch”) engineered from biodegradable polycaprolactone (PCL), graphene nanoplatelets, and a redox‐active therapeutic, niclosamide. The hierarchical composite integrates π‐π interactions between aromatic drug molecules

Spacecraft nitrogen generation [PDF]

open access: yes
Two spacecraft nitrogen (N2) generation systems based on the catalytic dissociation of hydrazine (N2H4) were evaluated. In the first system, liquid N2H4 is catalytically dissociated to yield an N2 and hydrogen (H2) gas mixture.

Low heat transfer oxidizer heat exchanger design and analysis [PDF]

open access: yes
The RL10-IIB engine, a derivative of the RLIO, is capable of multi-mode thrust operation. This engine operates at two low thrust levels: tank head idle (THI), which is approximately 1 to 2 percent of full thrust, and pumped idle (PI), which is 10 percent

Alkaline Leaching: A Facile Surface Activation Strategy to Improve the Reactivity of Air Electrodes for Solid Oxide Fuel Cells

open access: yesAdvanced Materials, EarlyView.
This study shows that alkaline leaching of PrBa0.8Ca0.2Co2O5+δ under anodic bias selectively removes Ba and Ca, forming a cobalt‐rich and amorphous layer. The modified surface significantly boosts ORR activity, offering a simple and effective strategy to improve electrochemical device performance.
