Development Of A Flexible Printed Battery

2021 IEEE International Conference on Electro Information Technology (EIT), 2021
A flexible alkaline based battery was fabricated for wearable electronics applications. This alkaline based battery system consists of a zinc-based negative electrode (anode), manganese dioxide (MnO2) and carbon black composite based positive electrode (cathode), and potassium hydroxide (KOH) saturated with zinc oxide (ZnO) as the electrolyte.

3D Printed Stretchable Liquid Gallium Battery

Advanced Functional Materials, 2022
AbstractDespite the rapid progress on soft and stretchable batteries, current fabrication techniques involve manual disposition and stencil/screen printing. Here, for the first time, a 3D‐printed Ag–Ga battery is introduced through subsequent printing of four sinter‐free composites: a stretchable Liquid Metal (LM) EGaIn‐Ag‐Styrene‐isoprene block ...

A flexible high potential printed battery for powering printed electronics

Applied Physics Letters, 2013
Mechanically flexible arrays of alkaline electrochemical cells fabricated using stencil printing onto fibrous substrates are shown to provide the necessary performance characteristics for driving ink-jet printed circuits. Due to the dimensions and material set currently required for reliable low-temperature print processing of electronic devices, a ...

Printable electrolyte for printed batteries

Advances in Printing and Media Technology, 2022
In this study, we focus on optimising the electrolyte layer of printed batteries. In the stack design of a printed battery, the electrolyte layer is located between the anode and cathode and is responsible for ion transport. However, the anode and cathode must not touch each other, so a material called a separator is usually used.
