Static and Dynamic Behavior of Novel Y‐Shaped Sandwich Beams Subjected to Compressive Loadings: Integration of Supervised Learning and Experimentation

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, EarlyView.
In this study, the mechanical response of Y‐shaped core sandwich beams under compressive loading is investigated, using deep feed‐forward neural networks (DFNNs) for predictive modeling. The DFNN model accurately captures stress–strain behavior, influenced by design parameters and loading rates.

Tailoring the Properties of 2D Nanomaterial‐Polymer Composites for Electromagnetic Interference Shielding and Energy Storage by 3D Printing—A Review

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 7, April 2025.
This article critically reviews the recent advances in the development of nanomaterial‐based inks derived from 2D nanomaterials and how the addition of 2D nanomaterials alters the rheology of different polymers for 3D printing. The review further explores the application of 3D‐printed structures in the electronics, sensor, and energy sectors.

Robotic positioning device for three-dimensional printing [PDF]

open access: yesarXiv, 2014
Additive manufacturing brings a variety of new possibilities to the construction industry, extending the capabilities of existing fabrication methods whilst also creating new possibilities. Currently three-dimensional printing is used to produce small-scale objects; large-scale three-dimensional printing is difficult due to the size of positioning ...

Invaded cluster algorithm for equilibrium critical points

open access: yes, 1995
A new cluster algorithm based on invasion percolation is described. The algorithm samples the critical point of a spin system without a priori knowledge of the critical temperature and provides an efficient way to determine the critical temperature and ...

Assessing the Powder Bed Fusion–Laser Beam Potential of Glass‐Forming Alloys Using Single and Multitrack Laser Glazing Experiments

open access: yesAdvanced Engineering Materials, Volume 27, Issue 9, May 2025.
Characterizations of the expanse of processes parameter combinations that can be used to minimize cracking and porosity while optimizing crystallization and hardness are used to assess laser processing of four glass‐forming alloys. The set of viable alloys for laser additive manufacturing is not the same as for suction casting; some alloys are common ...
