Microcontact printing (μCP) is a useful technique for transferring certain molecules onto surfaces with high spatial resolution using elastomeric stamps. The stamp for μCP is fabricated by replica molding from a master made by microlithography. After wetting with a type of material as an "ink," the stamp comes into contact with the substrate.

Nano Letters, 2005
We describe a new patterning technique that employs microcontact printing to replace preformed labile self-assembled monolayers (SAMs) selectively; we call this "microdisplacement printing". We demonstrate that this technique results in ordered molecular regions of both the patterning ("displacing") molecule as well as the remnant labile film, here 1 ...

An image of the tissue distribution of specific mRNAs, proteins, enzymes, or antigens is conveniently obtained by “printing” the cut surface of a tissue section onto a suitable substrate film and developing the film with appropriate reagents. It is also possible to localize metabolites by tissue printing. Most plant tissues leave a

Most laboratories will choose to order microarrays from a commercial vendor; however, microarray printing is sufficiently straightforward that even small laboratories with extensive microarray needs may find it cost-effective and worth the effort to produce their own microarrays. Printing microarrays requires a spotting robot.

Printing, Prints and Propaganda
1994Abstract This book is a study of visual propaganda, and of its role in the dissemination of the evangelical movement during the first half-century of the Reformation in Germany. A good deal has been written about the importance of printed propaganda for the spread of the Reformation, and the contribution of visual propaganda to this ...

Printing head, printing apparatus, printing method and printed article
A printing head for a 3-D printing device comprises a nozzle arranged to print a layer of a printing material on a receiving surface, and a texturing member arranged to texture the layer or the receiving surface during printing of the layer. The nozzle comprises an outlet including the texturing member, and the outlet is shaped to form protrusions ...Talgorn, Elise Claude Valentine +3 more
