On the Axiomatizability of Priority [PDF]
This paper studies the equational theory of bisimulation equivalence over the process algebra BCCSP extended with the priority operator of Baeten, Bergstra and Klop. We prove that, in the presence of an infinite set of actions, bisimulation equivalence has no finite, sound, ground-complete equational axiomatisation over that language.

Airway monocyte modulation relates to tumour necrosis factor dysregulation in neutrophilic asthma
Background Dysregulation of tumour necrosis factor-α (TNF-α) signalling is implicated in neutrophilic asthma. TNF-α signalling involves membrane-bound and soluble ligand (TNF-α) and receptors (TNFRs); however, little is known about how these proteins are

Gap Acceptance at Non–Standard Unsignalised Intersections
Non-standard unsignalised intersections are very common in European countries with old street networks. The major road often bends at an angle at the centre of an intersection, which makes the intersection non-standard.

On priority queues with priority jumps [PDF]
In this paper, we investigate a simplified head-of-the-line with priority jumps (HOL-PJ) scheduling discipline. Therefore, we consider a discrete-time single-server queueing system with two priority queues of infinite capacity and with a newly introduced HOL-PJ priority scheme. We derive expressions for the probability generating function of the system
